What's not to love about a chocolate chip sized spider with eight eyes looking right at you as you shoot it's photo? Or a beautiful green bee collecting pollen from a bright flower stamen? "Everything!" most people would say. However, I digress. As if you look closely at our tiny neighbors, you will see that not only are they are intricate, they are also magnificent. Not only are they agile, they are quick. But most importantly, they are irreplaceable.
Insects play a huge role in our ecosystem, from pollenating crops and flowers through their day to day activities, to suppling a food source for other creatures. We humans tend to forget this world we live on wasn't created solely for our own folly, and that it is also "home" for millions upon millions of beneficial insects who spin around the sun right along with us. It would be wise to remember that in our entire universe, we are but a small world. And all of the creatures whom inhabit our planet are in this together.
